That receptionist is still here even though she does no work because she's an ass-kisser. People who praise everybody are no better than flatterers. Who can tell me why the brown-nosing employee got promoted! Everybody knows that he is an apple- polisher. He owes his present position to the little favours he has done to his superiors. Everybody knows he is an apple- polisher. He often goes to his boss's office alone and kisses ass of his boss. His fellow workers call him an ass- kisser. He is a brown nose. He is a boot licker. I suppose that is because he is quick on the uptake. They were hired hands and lickspittles. Oh, he's such an ass- kisser. I can't believe the boss falls for it! At the time I was told this I had no idea why a butterfly might be called a butterfly and so I kept my mouth shut like a sniveling sycophant. That way, no one gets singled out as a brown-noser, and everyone shares the holiday spirit. As a wolf resembles a dog, so a flatterer a friend. |
