释义	荀況 xún kuàng人名。西元前313～前238战国时赵人，为著名的思想家、教育家。游学于齐，三为稷下学官的祭酒，后适楚为兰陵令。学说本于孔子，著书数万言，主张礼治而倡性恶之说，与孟子性善之说相对立；韩非、李斯均为其学生。作赋十篇，开汉人辞赋的先河。后世尊称为「荀卿」、「荀子」，汉人为避汉宣帝讳，改称为「孙卿」。
