释义	臨時條款 lín shí tiáo kuǎn在国家遭受重大变故的非常时期，认为宪法的规定不足以应付当前情势所需，于是另制定临时性、过度性质的条款，以应当时的需要。由于它是属于特别法，若与宪法相抵触时，不受宪法的限制。但重大变故终止后，随时可废除此临时性的条款，如此既免于修宪的繁重程序，又可应付当时国家情势所需。其制订、废止归国民大会职掌。
