释义	法順 fǎ shùn唐代一位高僧的法号。俗姓杜，雍州万年县人。为华严宗初祖。十八岁出家，从因圣寺僧珍禅师又称魏禅师修习禅法。并在庆州、清河、骊山、三原、武功等地传法，劝人念阿弥陀佛，读诵《华严经》。唐贞观十四年圆寂。关于法顺与华严宗的关系，除了倡导《华严经》外，相传华严宗的要籍《华严法界观门》、《华严五教止观》为其所作，但这说法颇多问题。真正确立法顺为华严宗初祖地位的，恐怕是因为其弟子智俨对华严思想的创见，而被后人推尊。
