释义	正五九 zhèng wǔ jiǔ指正月、五月、九月。其說本於佛教“三長齋月”之說。謂“正五九月，冥界業鏡輪照南洲，若有善惡，鏡中悉現”。見宋·元照《行事鈔資持記》卷下之三。僧人在此三月中，嚴持齋戒，過午不食。民間遂有“正五九”月行善不殺生之俗。至唐·武德年間朝廷始明令正、五、九月不得行刑，禁屠殺。
