释义	座主 zuò zhǔ唐宋时进士称主试官为座主。至明清，举人、进士亦称其本科主考官或总裁官为座主。或称师座。佛教语。谓大众一座之主。犹言上座、首座。科举时代，中试者称主考官为「座主」。衢州刺史田敦，峘知举时进士门生也。初峘当贡部，放牓日贬逐，与敦不相面。敦闻峘来，喜曰：『始见座主。』《旧唐书．卷一四九．令狐峘传》慌忙梳洗上轿，见座主，会同年去了。《初刻拍案惊奇．卷一六》也称为「座师」。
