释义	密印 mì yìn即蜜印。死后追赠官职所赐的蜡印。佛教语。诸佛菩萨各有本誓，为标志此本誓，以两手十指结种种之相，是为印象印契，故云印；其理趣深奥秘密，故云密。密宗多修密印法门，以身、口、意三密相应，手结印，心观想，口持咒，以求证佛果。佛教禅宗指达摩西来所传的直指人心的心印。此心印为教外别传，故称密。
