释义	天上聖母 tiān shàng shèng mǔ传说中的海神。北宋初年，福建省莆田林愿的七女林默娘，生于宋太祖建隆元年西元960三月二十三日，天生具有神异能力。死后升天为神，时常显灵昭应，庇佑百姓。传说她穿朱衣，乘草席，在海上救助遇难的船只，救人无数。元世祖时封为「护国明著天妃」，清圣祖时敕封为「天后」，后又封为「天上圣母」，民间则习称为「妈祖」、「妈祖婆」。目前台湾各地皆有妈祖庙，以北港的朝天宫最有名。
