释义	交通部電信總局 jiāo tōng bù diàn xìn zǒng jú监督、辅导电信事业并办理电信监理的机关单位，隶属于交通部。民国三十二年，交通部将以前的电报局、电话局合并改组为电信局，统办各种电报、电话业务，扮演行政监督与电信事业经营之双重角色。后为因应电信自由化潮流，于民国八十五年七月起，主要负责国家电信政策之设计、电信市场之管理监督，而将业务部门改制为国营中华电信股份有限公司。
