yǔ gào
汉代二千石以上有功官员依例给以在官休假的待遇，谓之予告。告，休假。后代凡大臣因病、老准予休假或退休的都叫予告。汉律规定年俸二千石以上有功官员得以享有在官而准予休假的礼遇。
今有司以为予告得归，赐告不得，是一律两科，失省刑之意。
《汉书．卷七九．冯奉世传》
故后代凡大臣因年老或疾病准予休假或辞官退休，皆称为「予告」。
原来漱玉家中有一座园亭，是太傅予告后颐养之地。
