❌ There is no sense to do the experiment again.

✔️ There is no sense in doing the experiment again.

there is no sense in v -ing的意思是“做某事没有意思的”,是固定搭配, in v -ing 不可改为不定式。

✔️ There is some sense in what he says.

n.名词
in all senses, in every sense

I don't like to hurt his feeling.
She lost her reason in consequence of a violent emotion caused by a fire.
Our moral sense controls passion.

He had some feeling for hope.
The new invention has created a great sensation. sense, implication, meaning, significance

She smiled with the implication that she didn't believe him.

He has quite realized the true significance of her actions. sense, sensibility
